volleyball net

Volleyball is a team sport that is played by two teams of six members each. They play on a court divided by a volleyball net. The goal of the game is for each team to send the ball over the net to ground it on the opposing team’s court while preventing the ball from being grounded on their own side of the court.

Each set is started by the right back-row player who serves the ball by hitting it over the net to the opposing court. Each team is allowed to hit the ball one to three times before it is returned to the other team. The exchange continues until the ball touches the floor, goes out of the playing area or a team fails to return it to the other court or commits a fault.
