Tennis shoes

Any athletic shoe will have two main components. The upper part includes the toe box, the tongue and lacing, the middle part also called the quarter and the back part or the heel counter. The bottom part consists of the soles. Tennis shoes should be moderately rigid with good side to side control. Leather is generally better and extra toe cap padding is recommended for the athlete who drags the toe on serving.

Tennis players are on their toes constantly so they require a solid arch support. Without the proper support they will be liable to cramp frequently and this can be detrimental to their performance. Extra ankle support is also needed. This is because tennis players must move front to back and side to side. Quality tennis shoes should adapt to surface, keep the feet cool and cushion shock.
