We have a pool in our backyard, and my kids like to have swimming parties there. It was all fine and dandy, until one of our neighbor kids almost drowned. That was an eye-opener for us.

Now, we are stricter with pool safety. I even bought a megaphone to help me act out my lifeguard duties. That way, kids can hear when I bark the orders at them.
