baseball caps

The kids had a special project for Christmas: donate gifts their team can collect through a special game to be played with their biggest rival. We parents eagerly printed tickets to be sold for the game, while some players planned on passing their baseball caps around to collect money. We were able to get some sponsors to donate money for every homerun made.

When the game was over, we were surprised at how much we had raised. It helped that both teams scored a lot of home runs. From what we’ve earned in the fundraiser, we were able to buy toys for the kids living in the city’s orphanage and prepare a small party for them. The happiness we saw on the kids’ faces was overwhelming. We were certainly glad we made a difference, even if just a little, in their lives.
