Baseball is the great American pastime. Small children start playing the game using plastic bats. In the 1970’s aluminum bats were more popular. But major leagues nowadays use wooden baseball bats because they are made from lighter materials. Factors in buying baseball bats include the age of the users and the league they are playing in. Little league bats, for example, are usually 33 inches long and 2 ¼ inches in diameter.
