I’ve been very athletic throughout my life. I was in the track team of my school both in grade school up to college. I was fortunate enough to graduate from college without any major injuries. After college, around my mid 20’s, I noticed I get easily injured. I injured my back and wrist doing power lifting. I had knee problems during my rowing days and I tore both hamstrings and injured my knees in triathlon. I’ve always considered myself an athlete and when I get injured and have to take some time off, I feel more sickly and fat. That’s why I’m so grateful to a friend who introduced me to Kinesio tape.
Kinesio taping made me recover faster from my injury. At times I can even train while injured (just with mild injuries though). It also minimizes the pain and keeps the injured muscle from taking all the load of your action. It can also correct joint misalignments. Kinesio tape is light years away from the traditional tapes that give support but limits full range of motion.

When I was young I noticed that I was faster than most kids. I could outrun my cousins and my playmates any day. When I got into high school, I joined the track team. It was the first time I saw track and field equipment. I didn’t know how to use the starting blocks. I didn’t even know that track athletes use spike shoes to run.
My coach picked my events. I ran the 100, 200, 400 and both relays. I was decent in the 100 and 200 but I excelled in the 400. I continued track in college. In college, the university I was in had a very nice track program. Our track and field equipment was first class. During my sophomore year, my coach decided to put me in the 400m low hurdle. I was scared to jump the hurdle. It took me a couple of months to get used to “hurdling” instead of jumping.

It’s true that boys will always be boys. During their early year males would always have toy guns. This passion for toys would normally be followed with cars. Then as they grow up and pursue their careers, men would often dream of owning a car but not all would be dreaming of a gun.
However there are also those who haven’t outgrown their gun-toting days acquired in their childhood. Some signs-up for membership in shooting range. While others collect “toys for big boys” like electric airsoft rifles. It may not be a real gun but some men get into it for fun or at times for self defense. Along with their fellow collector some of these men join war games in some jungle-like adventure camps.

My son is turning nine next month. My husband and I are very proud of him. He is our only child so we try hard to give him the best without spoiling him. One thing we do not give him however are video games and a TV in his room. We want him to be active in sports and to be fond of the outdoors. So far he has tried swimming (which he really likes) and biking. This summer however he asked us for a baseball glove, he wanted to play baseball with his friends after school.
My sporty husband was caught off guard. He has tried a lot of sports like, swimming, biking, tennis, and rowing but never baseball. He did not know where to start. After buying our son a baseball glove, they started to play catch in the yard. After a few weeks, my husband bought him a baseball bat. They played in the yard everyday until they broke two windows (ours and a neighbor’s). They now play in the park every afternoons and I couldn’t be happier. It is so much fun to see them bond over a new sport. This time my husband can just enjoy learning to play baseball and not just act like a coach to our son.

Statistics are showing that women are improving in this game compared to previous years. Women are driving longer distances that bring them to a higher level of performance. It is the consensus that this is brought about by hard work in preparing the body. Strength of the core muscles provides a platform of stability and protection against injury. Exercises should be geared towards restoring muscular balance, gradually progressing to gain further strength slowly but consistently.
Womens golf clubs are slightly different from men’s. Typically, it will be made one inch shorter and may be designed with more lofts on the face than men’s clubs. In addition, the shaft in women’s clubs is more flexible than those in men’s clubs. As always, the best thing to do is to try out the clubs to find out which is most comfortable for you. It will ensure a good game every time.

In real military combat, landmines can add to the dangerous state of the battle field. In paintball games, landmines do the same. They can be placed strategically around the field to trip up the opponents. It will be fun watching them being sprayed by a load of paint. Paintball landmines can add a new dimension to an entertaining game of paintball.
One type of paintball landmine is buried in the ground and activated when stepped on. These are basically pressurized canisters filled with paint. They are generally cheaper. Another kind is free standing and is triggered by motion or heat sensors. This kind is more sophisticated and is definitely more expensive.

Make a swimming party more exciting. Put up a volleyball net in the middle of the pool and encourage everyone to take turns. Volleyball nets are perfect for refreshing summer battles. They are easy to assemble and are very portable for years of get-together activities.
Volleyball is also a good sport for backyard fun on lazy weekends. Just stretch a volleyball net across the lawn and play a friendly game between family members. Backyard games are important to get young people involved in physical activities and move them away from the television and computer screens.
